Dorr appears when Ovan Tesh accepts a delivery listed as six chairs. It contains five chairs and a ladder. Ovan marks the shipment complete after deciding a sufficiently motivated employee can sit on the ladder. The contract advances. Ergonomics remains behind to consider its options.

The station receives standardized freight from places that disagree about standards. Cargo floors can alter gravity, temperature, atmosphere, and legal ownership between bays. Receiving clerks compare manifests with objects that may be asleep, alive, culturally offended by counting, or assembled only after the return period ends.

Furniture disputes recur because bodies recur less predictably. Dorr maintains seats, pools, hanging frames, root beds, pressure cushions, and empty marked areas for beings who rest through motion. The ordinary chair remains administratively dominant because old forms mistake historical convenience for anatomy.
